WebHostingHub – Review and Coupons

A great web hosting service if you are not looking for a business or reseller hosting solution. Price is a little high and they do not offer daily backups for free; the email support was also slower than average and they do not feature an up-time guarantee. That said, they have plenty of features, with over 280 applications in cPanel, a ‘pro’-type SiteBuilder, and a popular multiple domain option that few other web hosting services offer. Founded in 2001, Web Hosting Hub houses its main headquarters in Virginia but has data centers in New York, California, and Florida.

Reliability

Web Hosting Hub makes no up-time guarantee, though they are known for not having too many problems when it comes to up-time for you website. The servers are fast and reliable and Web Hosting Hub has around the clock monitoring of the servers as well as daily backups in case something ever were to happen. Though if you are wanting the daily backup service you will have to pay for it separately as Web Hosting Hub does not offer free daily backups like some other hosting services do, though the daily backup add-on is only $1.00 a month.  All in all, Hosting Hub has a great reliability reputation but we wish the daily backup feature was included with the hosting package.

Ease of Use

Virtually every web hosting company uses the powerful cPanel as the user control panel and WHH is no different. CPanel is an easy to use application that will allow you to 1 click install many popular web software such as WordPress or Drupal, and it comes with an impressive 280+ applications. The SiteBuilder that is included in any of the hosting packages is also very easy to use, and comes with over 500 templates for you to choose from, with a very convenient, point-and-click interface making it extremely user friendly.

Price

Web Hosting Hub pricing is slightly higher than other hosting services, with the one and only hosting package being $3.99 a month (only if you plan on signing up for the 3 year plan). Another negative is that you must purchase the daily backup add-on for $12 a year, which is offered as a free feature in some web hosing services. One great feature that is often not included in hosting services, is the ability for you to buy multiple domains for your website. An example: you have yourdomain.com but you also want to buy the rights to the .net and .org domains as well, if you plan on getting your domain from WHH you have the option of doing that – for an additional fee of course.

Help and Support

A year or so ago I would have rated the help and support system slightly lower than now as they did not offer an online ticket system, but thankfully WHH now offers all of the typically found support services including: the online ticket system, help by phone, email, and live-chat. Now onto a negative, the email system is horrible, it took over an hour to get a reply, although the online ticket system, phone support and live chat were a lot quicker in replying. For those with serious needs it is recommended that you use the online-ticket system, and for those with simpler concerns live chat or phone support are the best option.

Pros: Free domain name, better than average SiteBuilder, 90 day money back guarantee, multiple domain option, over 280 applications in cPanel.

Cons: No up-time guarantee, daily backup feature not included, help in the form of email support was sluggish in responding. Overall verdict – this is budget hosting company and as usual – you get what you pay for. It is great for smaller websites and projects but if you need more “fire power” , daily backups and faster customer support I say you go with either Crucial Hosting (find their deals here) or BlazingSEOLLC (and here are their coupons and offers). But if you are on a tight budget – WHH is a good pick for your new website!
